Twelve Points Wealth Management’s own Chris Cahill has earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy ® professional designation from the Richard D. Irwin Graduate School of The American College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. The CAP® program provides nonprofit and financial services professionals, who work with individuals and families in the development and implementation of philanthropic programs, the knowledge and tools needed to help clients reach their charitable giving objectives while also helping them meet their estate planning and wealth management goals.
Candidates for the CAP® designation must complete a minimum of three courses in philanthropic studies at the Irwin Graduate School, as well as six hours of rigorous, supervised, written examinations. The curriculum provides students with an advanced understanding of the relationship between the nonprofit sector and the financial services and planning sector. Only 750 individuals have been awarded the CAP® designation since its inception in 2003.
“The CAP® program allowed me to continue to hone and expand my professional skillset and bring a more thoughtful and robust level of philanthropic consultation to my clients,” states Chris. Helping clients refine what their wealth means to them and their family as well as helping them craft and execute on their own philanthropic mission is what Chris Cahill finds rewarding about his work.
The Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy ® program requires a great deal of commitment, time and effort, and positions Chris among an elite group of advisors. We are very excited to have his expertise as part of the Twelve Points family. He looks forward to using the sharpened skills and valuable tools he has gained from the program to help your family with philanthropic planning.
