Caring for Families: Volunteering at Hope Lodge

by Twelve Points Team

At Twelve Points, we consider ourselves extremely lucky to be working with such a wonderful group of people — and that not only includes our co-workers, but also our clients. Three of our core values, based on the Scout Law, are to be kind, friendly and helpful at every opportunity. We strive to embody our tagline, “A Family Taking Care of Families,” in our personal and professional lives, whether we’re working with a client on a financial plan or volunteering our time for a good cause.

Our team, along with clients, friends and family members, recently spent an evening serving a meal at Hope Lodge. It’s a place where patients currently undergoing cancer treatment at local hospitals and their caregivers can stay for free. Twelve Points Co-Founder Francesca Federico became involved through a friend four years ago, and is currently on the corporate council for the annual Hope Lodge Gala. It felt great to provide a service to families in need through the simple act of serving dinner; in addition, guitarist and singer David L. Yas, Esq., provided live entertainment.
