Growing up, she spent vacations and weekends working at her family’s second-generation automotive business, where she had the opportunity to work with a financial advisor on the company retirement plan. It was here she recognized an interest in finance and a passion for taking care of the financial and personal needs of others.
Before forming Twelve Points, Francesca began her career with The Buckley Group in 2008 and eventually left to build her own practice at Morgan Stanley. In 2014, Investment News named her one of the “Top 40 Under 40” advisors in the country. She co-founded Twelve Points in order to help people and change her clients’ lives for the better.
Francesca focuses a majority of her time on working with Plan Sponsors and their company retirement plans (401k, 403b, etc.). Reviewing hundreds of plans a year, she feels companies are not receiving the advice they need in order to truly make their retirement plan a TRUE benefit to their employees. She spends the majority of her day educating plan sponsors on the many challenges and risks of offering and operating benefit plans. Francesca was recently named a National Association of Plan Advisors Top Women Plan Advisor in the country for 2016. She is a Certified Plan Fiduciary Adviser (CPFA) — which was developed by some of the nation’s leading advisers and retirement plan experts, demonstrating your knowledge, expertise and commitment to working with retirement plans.
She is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designee, considered the gold standard for fiduciary care in the financial services industry. She also holds her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® credential in order to help select clients going through divorce.
Francesca considers herself a resource for her clients for more than just financial advice. Known for her warmth and enthusiasm, she volunteers for Hope Lodge and Community Servings. She recently co-founded and is the treasurer of a non-profit, Marisa’s Mission, that helps make a difference in the lives of cancer patients, in honor of her cousin Marisa who lost her battle to breast cancer in 2016. She is a featured author on Forbes.com and Fortune Magazine, and serves as a member of the Forbes Finance Council.
She is a true advocate for helping other women and serves as the Vice President for Tomorrow’s Women TODAY, a not-for-profit organization that was founded to bring women together who have been identified as leaders in both the public and private sectors. By supporting and mentoring these women, this group hopes to strengthen their leadership and enrich the entire Boston Business Community.
A graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, Francesca is a member of their alumni board. She went on to receive a B.S. in Finance at Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business and remains active in the Boston Fairfield Alumni Chapter as the Boston Chapter President. Francesca grew up in Braintree, where she was surrounded by her Italian- Irish family in a neighborhood built by her grandfather and great uncles in the late 1960s. She loves to spend time with her family and friends. There were many different traditions instilled in her by her “Papa” before his passing in 2015, a few of her favorite are horse-racing and wine making. Her Uncle Ralph owns a winery in Dorchester, where Francesca and her family and friends enjoy spending time.
